Welcome Who We Are

The United Dioceses of Cashel, Ferns and Ossory is part of the Church of Ireland and the worldwide Anglican Communion. With six historic cathedrals and over 150 parish churches across the southeast of Ireland – including counties Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Tipperary, Carlow, and parts of Waterford and Wicklow – we are a welcoming, inclusive church community rooted in both tradition and local life.

Our Mission and Ministry

Led by Bishop Adrian Wilkinson, our diocese is committed to nurturing faith, building community, and serving others. Through regular worship, pastoral care, youth programmes, environmental initiatives, and inter-church partnerships, we support spiritual growth across all ages.

Worship remains central to our life together, rooted in the Book of Common Prayer and shaped by the seasons of the church year. We also maintain strong links with Church of Ireland schools in the region – supporting inclusive, values-based education that reflects our Christian ethos.

Our diocese is proud of its long and deeply rooted history – woven through Ireland’s religious, cultural, and civic life – but we are equally committed to facing the future with faith and openness. We welcome all who seek to explore faith, reconnect with church life, or find a place to belong.

Whether you join us for Sunday worship, a diocesan event, or a quiet moment of reflection in one of our churches, we invite you to discover what it means to be part of this community of faith. If you would like to learn more or get in touch with someone locally, reach out to the diocesan team at any time.
